elbchairs.jpg (227834 bytes)During December 2005 the church has undergone some major changes.  We have finally got rid of our pews and replaced them with chairs.  We have also had a new floor laid and I think you'll agree the church looks very different to the way it used to be!  (To see a before shot click here!)

holidayclub.jpg (72277 bytes)Of course, this is not the only thing to have happened during the past year.  In July we appointed a community worker (Danie) to work with the children, young people and their families in our area.  Since arriving Danie has organised and run a Holiday Club (with a pirates theme - see photo (left)), organized a Pizza night, started a "Holiday Club" style worship (called JAM) on a Sunday morning and organised a Christmas party as well as many other exciting activites.   Planned for the future is a Youth Club (to be run fortnightly) and there is going to be a JAM Workshops day in January.  For more information on any of these events please contact us by e-mailing us at  elburton@plymouth-methodist.org.uk.   Thanks.

At Elburton we work together to achieve the goals of our mission statement...

It is our mission to be a spiritual and prayerful church for the worship of God;
Every Sunday we hold a morning and evening service, where we discover more from the Bible. To find out more click here for services, or click here for music. There are two prayer meetings each week. We consider prayer vital if we are to work for God.

It is our mission to demonstrate the relevance of Christianity in life today;
We believe that God sent Jesus to die on the cross in order to pay for our sins. You can find out more about what we believe by clicking here for an article on our faith.
It is our mission to serve the community by actively caring and showing the love of Jesus;
As well as three weekly services, we also hold a score of weekly activities. To see the full list, click here.
A lot has happened since the church first opened its doors in 1869. Our atmosphere has helped create a lovely place to worship. To discover the history of our building, click here.
The Mission Statement
Our mission statement was produced as a result of whole church consultation. To find out more, click here.
